The Locksmith

Men are infinitely creative and resourceful, in big ways and small.

I was going into Trader Joe's in Rockville, Maryland when I spotted an unusual image in the parking lot. It was dark, and a light was shinning from inside a small white Ford Transit Connect van. It looked almost surreal and out of place, so I had to go over and take a closer look.

This fellow had set up a locksmith work station complete with light, work bench and all the necessary tools in the back of the little van. He even had a place for his fishing rods along the inside of the van wall. Doesn't he remind you of the Keymaker from the Matrix movies?

Australian News Anchor Goes Full White Knight With Wardrobe Stunt

Karl Stefanovic from the Today Show, Australia, deceived the world with his wardrobe stunt when he revealed that he wore the same suit for a year and no one noticed.

Flickr Creative Commons photo, Alpha
Stefanovic claims that this reveals sexism, and the implication is that men are sexist. Judging by twitter, and CBC News, his viewers were fooled by this nonsense. They love him for pandering to their need to feel oppressed: "Brilliant, unanswerable highlighting of sexism" gushes Tom Chatfield, and "My hero! ... proving point about sexism," says Becky Quick, clearly smitten by Stefanovic's patronizing stunt.

Duke University forced to obey the law

Duke University offers a degree in Law.
Image from Duke Archives *

They have a team of "lawyers who teach lawyers" at their disposal, and yet with all that brain power they can't seem to figure out how to obey the law. One of their own students had to sue them for justice.

Lewis M. McLeod, a student at Duke, knew his rights were violated when Duke expelled him over an accusation that the police already determined was unfounded. McLeod knew the university was wrong, but he had to go to court to force Duke, a school that he entrusted with his money and education, to obey the very law they teach. McLeod won his case, and Duke must

Feminists Defend Sexual Exploitation of Boys, Again

Feminists at the University of Toronto are tearing down posters for the lecture "Violence and Sexual Abuse Against Men" by therapist Lynne MacDonell. The event, sponsored by The Canadian Association For Equality (CAFE), promises to cover the scandalous finding that female prison guards commit 90% of sexual assaults against juvenile males. Nearly all of the sexual assaults involve coercion on the part of the female guards.

We have become accustomed to total media silence from feminists on issues relating to men and boys, but feminists have been disruptive and violent at University lectures in the past and show no signs of stopping now.

Queen's Faculty Incites Hatred Of Male Students - Administration Looks The Other Way

In March 2014, Queen's University, in Kingston Ontario, exploded with fear and anger towards men. The university's newly formed, and only, men's group, the Men's Issues Awareness Society (MIAS), scheduled a lecture by University of Ottawa professor Janice Fiamengo titled "What's Equality Got To Do With It: Feminism's Double Standards." Campus feminists were furious and intended to block it at all costs.

How do you go from zero to full-blown hysteria in a few short weeks?

It helps to have the full support of university faculty, and the small, but very vocal, group of feminists head-quartered in the Levana Gender Advocacy Centre knew they had it. Only with that kind of support can a few hundred zealots confidently dominate a campus with well over 20,000 other, generally open-minded, students, and create havoc.

Campus feminists began by whipping up hysteria against Fiamengo and anyone who questioned feminism. Thousands of comments poured onto the Facebook event page for Fiamengo's talk, many of which were fearful, angry and hateful towards men and anyone who dared question feminism. The posts included:

What does it feel like to be really old knowing that death is imminent? -from Quora

I am re-posting this as written from Quora because I think it is relevant at any age. I hope you enjoy it.

..............................................................................

I am really old, and I know death is imminent

Most of my friends have passed away, and of those remaining, they suffer from health problems in some way

I am myself totally deaf and partially blind. I live by myself

I am writing this at 6am in the morning

Today, if the weather is fine
I will go for a walk
I will chat with friends
I will do my shopping
I will do my laundry
I will feed the cat
I will tidy up what needs to be done
I will put out the garbage

I will do what most people do who are not really old and know that death is imminent
Because there is no feeling of being old

A Woman Should Never Hit A Man

But they do. A lot.

A man has very few options when faced with a violent woman. A man has to exercise precise self-control when defending himself from a woman who goes all out to injure him. Even under full attack, men rarely hit back, but when they do the woman often gets hurt. Sometimes badly hurt, as happened to Ray Rice's wife, Janay Palmer Rice.

And the media is having a White Knight orgy with this one. They are clamouring to outdo one another and demonstrate their commitment to defend innocent women and condemn Ray Rice. Unfortunately no one was innocent in the battle between Ray Rice and his then girlfriend Janay Palmer. The evidence is crystal clear in the video itself. The two can be seen before they enter the elevator by the pillar: he appears to spit on her and she backhands him to the chin. Another exchange of hits occurs by the elevator buttons, whereupon Ray Rice backs away to the other side of the elevator. Janay is not the slightest bit afraid or hesitant at that point, and she literally lunges

The Detroit Conspiracy: International Conference on Men's Issues

Old car rally on VFW lawn
The first International Conference on Men's Issues, organized by A Voice for Men (AVfM), proceeded at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in St. Claire Shores, a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, without protest or serious incident this past weekend despite earlier protests,
death threats and promises by feminist groups to shut it down. It was a great location along the Lake St. Claire and an old car rally showed up on the weekend as well ... Bonus!

Speakers included living legends like Erin Pizzey from the UK and Canadian Senator Anne Cools, who knew of each other's work since the 1970's, and subsequently became such great friends that they now call themselves "Soul Sisters." Other famous writers, intellectuals and activists included

Historic First International Conference on Men’s Issues going ahead in Detroit, Michigan

The first international conference on Men's Issues is going ahead in Detroit, Michigan despite plenty of opposition from radical feminists. The opposition included death threats to conference attendees, hotel staff, and other guests at the DoubleTree hotel, prompting a

Boko Haram Slaughters More Men And Boys

Most of mainstream media continues to suppress the fact that Boko Haram singles out and slaughters men and boys. Aminu Abubakar reports that 400 - 500 males were slaughtered less than a week ago, but this story detracts from the Bring Back Our Girls campaign, so it is largely ignored.

A Voice For Men comments on this tragedy, but feminists are completely silent, it's only males after all and many feminists will see this as progress towards their goal of culling the males to 10% of the population. There just are no words to explain the

Corporate America Owns Feminism

I had not thought about this before but Hitler could not have gotten very far without supplies from the rest of the world, and top American Companies made a fortune selling to Germany during WWII. This book has the details and points out that American executives were never charged with war crimes because they have influence in the White House.

Wall Street tycoons also made a fortune running the global financial system like a giant pyramid scheme. They brought the world to its knees in 2008, and
destroyed the lives of millions of ordinary people in the process. Caught red-handed they were far from contrite - they practically bragged about it - and were rewarded with
even more money in the form of a government bailout. They immediately gave themselves bonuses and thumbed their noses at the "little people." Once again none of them were charged with any sort of crime because they control the White House.

Female Officer Urinates In Male Colleague's Cabin ... Male Gets Court Martial

Lt. Derek de Jong suffered prolonged abuse which included a female colleague actually urinating in his cabin. He reported the behavior to his superiors, who did absolutely nothing. His request for medical leave due to stress and health problems was also denied (he was later diagnosed with a heart condition and excessive stress response). He gave a letter to his commanding officer, left the ship in Florida, and turned himself in to Military Police in Halifax where he faced Court Martial for desertion.

None of his abusers have been investigated, disciplined, or charged. Not even the female who pissed on him. What can you say about this disgusting double standard. Why do men still enlist in the military? The one and only principled officer on this ship was

Queen's message to students: Learn Your Feminist Catechism

I emailed the Rector and the Chancellor of Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, last week with a few questions about the blatant discrimination that I experienced on campus. I have not received a response, but my email is included at the bottom.

I described the incident in a previous blog

post, but in brief: a
feminist Queen's student identified me as "whatshisface old guy" at a public event on campus and instructed the director of security to "get his ass out of there." The director of security ordered his security guards to do exactly that, without delay.

Unfortunately, this is not simply the actions of a single over-zealous director of security. It is Queen's administration and faculty who have poisoned the

"Old guys" are not welcome at Queens University

If you are an old guy at Queen's, security will get your ass out of there! This is not hyperbole ... it happened to me.

I started following Men's Issues after I stumbled upon, and filmed, a student protest of Dr. Warren Farrell in November 2012. Since then I have attended and filmed Men's Issues events at the University of Toronto, Ryerson University, Queen's Park, University of Ottawa and other places. No official, organizer, police officer, or security guard ever tried to interfere with my attendance or filming of these events. In fact, organizers have gone out their way to

Canadian Association For Equality events at Ontario Universities

The Canadian Association For Equality (CAFE) is hosting several events at Ontario universities in the next 10 days:

Dr. Edward Kruk, professor of sociology at the University of British Columbia (UBC), will speak about the failure of Family Courts to endorse equal parenting at the University of Toronto on Friday March 21 at 8 PM. Feminists have long opposed presumption of equal parenting in the

event of divorce, and perhaps Dr. Kruk will explore the strong influence that feminists hold over family law. Dr. Kruk has written several books on fatherhood and divorced fathers.

Dr. Janice Fiamengo, University of Ottawa, is one of very few academics in the world with the courage to criticize Women's Studies. A culture of fear has arisen on campuses, and

There's hope for mainstream media

You don't see this often ... an article critical of a women's issue in the mainstream media. The Globe and Mail's Margaret Wente calls foul on the feminist-invented rape crisis on North American University campuses. This false crisis is being used to justify unprecedented laws that put ordinary men at great risk when they pursue relations with the women they desire.

Wente reminds us that, according to newly proposed laws, when a drunk couple has sex, the man is automatically defined as a rapist and the woman, a victim. It's refreshing to see a level-headed journalist willing to risk controversy by confronting such blatant stupidity. Especially when this stupidity has even infected the White House.

There are so many lopsided risks and liabilities that a man must take in order to build a full life for himself that I recently coined the term "heteroliability." But Wente only needed to focus on the draconian responses to the false rape crisis to conclude "I used to think the war on men was an exaggeration. I don’t think so any more."

If I were a religious man I would say "hallelujah," but I'll have to go with "AMEN!"

Heteroliability

You have never heard of this word because it doesn't exist ... yet. In fact there hasn't been a need for a word like this until now.

So, what is it?

Heteroliability refers to the spectrum of risks and liabilities that men incur when they enter into a heterosexual relationship. These are serious risks, and they include:

Domestic Violence Laws (DV) that eliminate presumption of innocence, making a man vulnerable to false charges from an angry female partner. In 2001, Ontario, and many other North American jurisdictions, adopted a "Zero Tolerance" policy for domestic violence. On the surface "zero tolerance" sounds appropriate for domestic violence, however

What do Miles Groth, Erin Pizzey, Warren Farrell and Karen Straughan have in common ?

They were all recently featured on the StudioBrule YouTube channel. These luminaries on the state of the contemporary male have loads of insight to offer anyone interested in the misandry in modern culture.

Building on my discussion with Dr. Janice Fiamengo, Dr. Miles Groth, professor of psychology at Wagner College NY, considered the need for a Male Studies program independent of the present Gender Studies departments. The proposed new Male Studies programs, such as the one at the University of South Australia, have sparked criticism within academia from feminists like Michael Kimmel, professor of Sociology at Sunnybrook College NY, who maintains that proponents of Male Studies have an ulterior anti-feminist, misogynistic motive.

Professor Kimmel claims that

Male Studies: Do we need it, and can it happen?

Earlier this week the University of South Australia Male Studies program seemed at risk of cancellation after years of planning. This was in response to allegations made by Tory Shepherd, published on "Adelaide Now," that the organizers were tied to "hate groups."

I had an excellent wide-ranging conversation with Dr. Janice Fiamengo, University of Ottawa, about Male Studies, Women's Studies, feminism, Canada's prostitution laws, police policy on prostitution, law professor Elizabeth Sheehy's battle to legalize husband-killing,

Ottawa Police stop arresting prostitutes, only male clients are now arrested

Why do we need the Supreme Court, or even Parliament, when the Police are happy to make up the law as they see fit?

The Ottawa Citizen reports that in 2009 the Ottawa police arrested 135 women and 56 men for prostitution offences. Then in 2010 the Canadian Women's Coalition was formed demanding decriminalization of female prostitutes and continued persecution of the men who seek them out. This is equivalent to the Swedish model pioneered in 1998, which was declared an abject failure.

The Ottawa Police decided to
